[Machine] I was in a gathering with the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they were discussing his prayer. Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi said, "I know the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ better than any of you. It was my habit to observe the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he stood up for prayer. He would say the takbir, then recite (the Quran). When he bowed, he would say the takbir and place his hands on his knees, separating his fingers. Then he would straighten up his back, not keeping his head bowed nor looking up. When he raised his head, he would stand straight until all his bones returned to their positions. When he prostrated, he would rest on his palms, knees, and the tips of his toes, and he would be at peace while prostrating. When he raised his head, he would be at peace while sitting. When he sat between the two prostrations, he would put his left foot under his buttocks and keep his right foot erect. When he sat in the fourth Rak'ah, he put his left hip on the ground and positioned his feet to one side. Shaikh (Ibn Bazz) said, "In a narration from Abbas bin Sahl from Abu Humaid in this Hadith, he put his hands, knees, and the tips of his toes on the ground when prostrating."

I (once) attended the meeting of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They began to discuss his prayer. Abu Humaid then narrated a part of the same tradition and said: When he bowed he clutched his knees with his palms, and he opened his fingers; then he bent his back without raising his upwards, and did not turn his face (on any side). When he sat at the end of two rak’ahs he sat on the sole of his left foot and raised the right, and after the fourth he placed his left hip on the ground and spread out both his feet one side.
