[Machine] I attended the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he went to the mosque. He entered the mihrab (prayer niche) and raised his hands with takbeer (saying "Allahu Akbar"). Then he placed his right hand over his left hand on his chest. Additionally, Muwatta Malik narrated from Thawri from Aasim ibn Kulayb from his father from Wail that he saw the Prophet ﷺ placing his right hand on his left hand, then placing them on his chest. Abu Bakr ibn al-Harith informed us, Abu Muhammad ibn Hayyan informed us, Muhammad ibn al-Abbas informed us, and Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna informed us, all of them mentioned this.  

حَضَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَوْ حِينَ نَهَضَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَدَخَلَ الْمِحْرَابَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَمِينَهُ عَلَى يُسْرَاهُ عَلَى صَدْرِهِ 2336 وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَضَعَ يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُمَا عَلَى صَدْرِهِ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُؤَمَّلٌ فَذَكَرَهُ
