[Machine] Ali used to start his prayer by raising his hands and saying "Allahu Akbar" (God is the greatest), then he would strike his left wrist with his right hand. He would continue to do this until he bowed down, unless his skin itched or his garment needed adjustment. After finishing the prayer, he would say the salutation ("As-salamu 'alaykum") with his right hand and then turn his head to the left, moving his lips without making any sound. We don't know exactly what he said. Then he would say "La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, la haula wala quwwata illa billah" (There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. There is no power or strength except with Allah. We worship none but Him). Finally, he would face the people and not pay attention to his right or left side. This is a sound and reliable narration.
