[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , used to perform tasbeeh (glorification of Allah) while riding, in whichever direction he faced, and he would also offer the witr prayer on the mount, except that he would not offer the obligatory prayers on it.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ

Salim b. 'Abdullah reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be. upon him) used to observe Nafl (supererogatory) prayer on his ride no matter in what direction it turned its face, and he observed Witr too on it, but did not observe obligatory prayer on it.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَىِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray voluntary prayers (Usabbih) while riding his mount, facing whatever direction it was facing, and he would pray Witr likewise, but he would not offer the prescribed prayers on it."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَىِّ وَجْهٍ تَتَوَجَّهُ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ
"The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray atop his mount while traveling, facing whatever direction it was facing, and he would pray witr atop it, but he did not pray the prescribed prayers atop it ".
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَىِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهُ بِهِ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ
While travelling the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray voluntary prayer on his riding beast in whatever direction it turned; and he would observe witr prayer, but he did not offer the obligatory prayers upon it.

Salim b. [Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to recite tasbih on his riding animal before any direction he faced and he used to perform the odd-numbered prayer on it, except that he did not pray on it the obligatory prayer. This is not mentioned in the hadith of Abu Dawood before
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أِيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ قِبَلَ
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ glorifying Allah and nodding his head while riding his camel, facing any direction he turned to. However, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not do that in the obligatory prayers.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَيُومِئُ بِرَأْسِهِ قِبَلَ أَيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ
