[Machine] Zaid ibn Thabit used to say, "The mukatab (a slave with a written contract to buy his freedom) is a slave who has no remaining dirham that can be inherited or inherited from. On the other hand, Ali used to say, 'When the mukatab dies and leaves wealth, what he has paid and what remains should be divided. Whatever he has paid goes to his heirs, and whatever remains goes to his patrons.' Abdullah used to say, 'What remains of his mukatabah (the contract for buying freedom) should be given to his patrons, and what remains of his inheritance should be given to his heirs.'"
