[Machine] If one of you wakes up from sleep, he should pour water on his hands before putting them in the vessel. Then Qais Al-Ashja'i asked: "What should we do with this mihras of yours?" Abu Hurayrah replied: "I seek refuge in Allah from your evil. Abu 'Ubaid said: Al-Asma'i said: The mihras is a carved, rectangular stone, enormous like a basin, from which people perform ablution. None of you can move it."  

البيهقي:٢١٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ

إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ النَّوْمِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ الْمَاءَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الْإِنَاءِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ قَيْسٌ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ فَإِذَا جِئْنَا مِهْرَاسَكُمْ هَذَا فَكَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ بِهِ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّكَ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ الْأَصْمَعِيُّ الْمِهْرَاسُ حَجَرٌ مَنْقُورٍ مُسْتَطِيلٌ عَظِيمٌ كَالْحَوْضِ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ النَّاسُ لَا يَقْدِرُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى تَحْرِيكِهِ
