[Machine] A man freed a slave that he owned, so the Prophet ﷺ fined him its price. Hammam said: "Qatadah used to say that if he did not have money, he would borrow it."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَغَرَّمَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثَمَنَهُ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ فَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ اسْتَسْعَى
