[Machine] Are you reciting poetry in the sacred sanctuary of Allah and in front of the Kaaba of Allah? A man from the Ansar came forward, he was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and said, "O son of Zubair, there is no harm if you do not harm yourself. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only forbade poetry when it involves obscenity and when wealth is wasted on it."  

البيهقي:٢١١٤١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْمُجَالِدِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَنَاشَدُ الْأَشْعَارَ عِنْدَ الْكَعْبَةِ فَأَقْبَلَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ

أَفِي حَرَمِ اللهِ وَعِنْدَ كَعْبَةِ اللهِ تَتَنَاشَدُونَ الشِّعْرَ؟ فَأَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ كَانَ مَعَنَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِكَ بَأْسٌ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْسَدْ نَفْسُكَ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا نَهَى عَنِ الشِّعْرِ إِذَا أُبِّنَتْ فِيهِ النِّسَاءُ وَبُذِّرَ فِيهِ الْأَمْوَالُ
