[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the night prayer for nine nights until one-third of the night. Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you had hastened this prayer, it would have been possible for our congregation." And in the narration of Ibn al-Munadi, it would have been more excellent for our night prayer. After that, Ali ibn Zaid ibn Jud'an performed it individually, although he was not strong.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the evening prayers for nine nights. Abu Dawood said, "Eight nights until one-third of the night." Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you had hastened, it would have been more convenient for us to perform the night prayer." He then hastened after that. Abdus Samad narrated to us that in his narration it was nine nights, and Affan narrated it as seven nights.
