Al-Hasan said: Indeed, Isma'il used to command his family to pray and give zakat, and he was pleasing to his Lord. So the man repeated his statement three times. Al-Hasan said to him: Indeed, Isma'il used to command his family to pray and give zakat.  

لَهُ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ إِنَّ لِي جَارِيَةً حَسَنَةَ الصَّوْتِ لَوْ عَلَّمْتُهَا الْغِنَاءَ لَعَلِّي آخُذُ بِهَا مِنْ مَالِ هَؤُلَاءِ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ إِنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّا فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ الْقَوْلَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ لَهُ الْحَسَنُ إِنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ
