[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I am not from those who play, and playing is not from me." Ali ibn al-Madinah asked Abu Ubaydah, the companion of the Arabic language, about this, and he said: "He says, 'I am not from falsehood, and falsehood is not from me.'" The Sheikh said, and Abu Ubaydah Qasim ibn Salam al-Dadd is play and amusement. It was also narrated from Amr from Muttalib from Muawiyah, and this was narrated in a hadith from Abu Zubair from Jabir.  

البيهقي:٢٠٩٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ زَيْدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ مِنْ أَصْلِ سَمَاعِهِ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَنِينِ ثنا ابْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَسْتُ مِنْ دَدٍ وَلَا دَدٌ مِنِّي قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ صَاحِبَ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ عَنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ يَقُولُ لَسْتُ مِنَ الْبَاطِلِ وَلَا الْبَاطِلُ مِنِّي قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَقَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الدَّدُ هُوَ اللَّعِبُ وَاللهْوُ وَقِيلَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَرُوِيَ ذَلِكَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
