[Machine] Abu 'Amr, meaning Al-Awza'i, was asked about the one who is unable to walk to the House of Allah: from where should he start his journey? He said, "If he intends a specific location, then he should start from where he intends. And if he does not intend a specific location, then he should start from his current location." Ata' narrated this from Ibn Abbas.  

البيهقي:٢٠١٣٢وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ

أَبَا عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ عَمَّنْ جَعَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَشْيَ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ يَمْشِي؟ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ نَوَى مَكَانًا فَمِنْ حَيْثُ نَوَى وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَوَى مَكَانًا فَمِنْ مِيقَاتِهِ وَأَخْبَرَنِيهِ عَطَاءٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ بِذَلِكَ
