[Machine] With his hand, our slaves and loyal ones flip it like this. Surely, that would be a severe deficiency for you. If I had sounded the call to prayer with the caliphate, I would have proclaimed it.  

البيهقي:٢٠٠٢ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ ثنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي اللَّيْثِ ثنا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ قَدِمْنَا عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَسَأَلَ مَنْ مُؤَذِّنُكُمْ فَقُلْنَا عَبِيدُنَا وَمَوَالِينَا فَقَالَ

بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا يُقَلِّبُهَا عَبِيدُنَا وَمَوَالِينَا إِنَّ ذَلِكُمْ بِكُمْ لَنَقْصٌ شَدِيدٌ لَوْ أَطَقْتُ الْأَذَانَ مَعَ الْخِلَافَةِ لَأَذَّنْتُ
