[Machine] "If it were not for a statement that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I would not have supported him," Al-Harith said. Ibn Shamasa asked, "What is it?" Al-Harith replied, "Whoever learns archery and then abandons it is not one of us, or he has disobeyed."

البيهقي:١٩٧٢٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا ابْنُ مِلْحَانَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شَمَاسَةَ أَنَّ فَقِيمًا اللَّخْمِيَّ قَالَ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ تَخْتَلِفُ بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْغَرَضَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ كَبِيرٌ يَشُقُّ عَلَيْكَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ

عُقْبَةُ لَوْلَا كَلَامٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ أُعَانِهِ قَالَ الْحَارِثُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ شَمَاسَةَ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّهُ مَنْ عَلِمَ الرَّمْيَ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ تَرَكَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا أَوْ قَدْ عَصَى

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ 19730 عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رُمْحٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ الْحَارِثُ فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ شَمَاسَةَ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّهُ مَنْ عَلِمَ الرَّمْيَ الَّذِي تَرَكَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا أَوْ قَدْ عَصَى أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أنبأ اللَّيْثُ فَذَكَرَهُ
