Say, "So bring the Torah and recite it, if you should be truthful."} [Al-e-Imran 93]. That is, this was before the Torah. 'Abd al-Razzaq said, Sufyan said in a high pitched voice, Al-Shafi'i said, 'May Allah bless him, and those are what is meant. And Allah knows best, lawful things were made permissible for them. And he said, {And for those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof and of the cattle and We prohibited to them the fat of the ox and the sheep, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone.} [Al-Anam 146]. Al-Shafi'i said, the entrails are what contains food and drink in the stomach.
