[Machine] Narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If there is a cure in your medicines or what you treat with, then it is the cupping therapy, drinking honey, or cauterization with fire that matches the disease. And I do not like to be cauterized."

البيهقي:١٩٥٤٣ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْغَسِيلِ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ أَتَانَا جَابِرٌ ؓ إِلَى بَيْتِنَا

فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا تَدَاوَوْنَ بِهِ خَيْرٌ فَشَرَطَةُ حَجَّامٍ أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ لَذْعَةٍ بِنَارٍ تُوَافِقُ دَاءً وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "If there is any good in your medicines, then it is in a gulp of honey, a cupping operation, or branding (cauterization), but I do not like to be (cauterized) branded. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5702)

البيهقي:١٩٥٤٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْبَاغَنْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْغَسِيلِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ الرَّاهِبِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ خَيْرٌ فَفِي شَرْطَةِ الْحِجَامَةِ أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ لَذْعَةٍ بِنَارٍ وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ

"إِنْ كَانَ فِى شَىْءٍ منْ أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ خَيْرٌ. فَفِى شَرْطَة مَحْجَم، أَوْ شَرْبَة مِنْ عَسَل، أو لَذْعَة بنَار تُوَافِقُ دَاءً وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِى" .
