[Machine] Al-Shafi'i says: If an idolater slaughters an animal, its zakat (charitable giving) is permissible for me, although I dislike it. The Sheikh said: This is because of what has previously been mentioned regarding the permissibility of their slaughter. And it has been narrated from Ata ibn Abi Rabah that he did not see any harm in it.  

البيهقي:١٩١٦٨وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ لَا يَذْبَحُ أُضْحِيَّتَكَ إِلَّا مُسْلِمٌ وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتَ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ اللهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ اللهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنْ فُلَانٍ قَالَ

الشَّافِعِيُّ فَإِنْ ذَبْحَهَا مُشْرِكٌ تَحِلُّ ذَكَاتُهُ أَجْزَأَتْ مَعَ كَرَاهِيَتِي لَهَا قَالَ الشَّيْخُ هَذَا لِمَا مَضَى فِي إِحْلَالِ ذَبَائِحِهِمْ وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا
