[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , fighting against the enemy on the day of the trench (battle). They kept him busy from the time of Zuhr (midday prayer) until the time of Isha (night prayer), half of the night passed and then the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , got up and started with the Zuhr prayer, then he performed the Asr (afternoon) prayer, then the Maghrib (evening) prayer, and then the Isha (night) prayer, each prayer followed by the next prayer immediately.

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ opposing the enemy, so they distracted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers. This continued until half of the night had passed. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and started with the Dhuhr prayer, then he performed the Asr prayer, followed by the Maghrib prayer, and then the Isha prayer. Some of the prayers were performed consecutively without any break in between. Al-Walid ibn Muslim reported this from Abu Amr al-Awzai, who narrated it from Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, who heard it from the Prophet ﷺ regarding the issue of the Adhan.
