[Machine] The sea threw a large dead fish, so we went to Abu Hurairah and asked him. He commanded us to eat it, but we were reluctant because of Abu Hurairah's youth. So we went to Marwan and he sent for Zaid bin Thabit and asked him. He said it is permissible, so eat it.  

البيهقي:١٨٩٨١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثُوَيْبٍ قَالَ

رَمَى الْبَحْرُ بِسَمَكٍ كَبِيرٍ مَيِّتٍ فَأَتَيْنَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ فَاسْتَفْتَيْنَاهُ فَأَمَرَنَا بِأَكْلِهِ فَرَغِبْنَا عَنْ فُتْيَا أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَتَيْنَا مَرْوَانَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ؓ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ حَلَالٌ فَكُلُوهُ
