[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with pointed arrows. He said: "Whatever you hit with its sharp side, then eat it, and whatever you hit with its broad side, it is a wound."  

البيهقي:١٨٩٤٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ عَاصِمٌ وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ؓ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ مَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَمَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَهُوَ وَقِيذٌ  

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ وَغَيْرِهِمَا

I asked the Prophet ﷺ about game killed by Mir'ad. So he said: 'What you kill by its sharp edge then eat it, and what you kill by its broad side then, it was killed by something blunt.'"
