[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ lamented the price of war if he had someone with him, and Abu Basir came with his spoils to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he said, "Take five, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "If I take five, I will not fulfill what I have promised them, but it is up to you to take from the spoils of your companion and go wherever you wish." So Abu Basir left with five others who had come with him from the Muslims in Mecca until they were between Al-Ais and Dhul-Murwah, from the land of Juhaynah on the path of the Quraysh's journey to Iraq. No caravan of the Quraysh passed by them without being seized and its companions killed. Abu Jandal ibn Suhail ibn Amr managed to escape with seventy riders who had embraced Islam and migrated. They caught up with Abu Basir and were reluctant to join the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the truce with the polytheists. He then mentioned what happened after that in the sense of what has been mentioned and completed from it.
