[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ struck a Christian man in Mecca called Muhab with a dinar every year. And the Prophet ﷺ struck the Christians of Ayla with three hundred dinars every year. And they were to provide hospitality to any Muslims who passed by them, three in number, and not deceive any Muslim. Ibrahim informed us, and Is'haq ibn Abdullah narrated, that they were three hundred in number, and on that day, the Prophet ﷺ struck them with three hundred dinars every year. Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said that the people of Najran offered him gifts, taking it to him, and his treaty with them confirmed that it was not in dinars. And that what they agreed upon was permissible."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ضَرَبَ عَلَى نَصْرَانِيٍّ بِمَكَّةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَوْهَبٌ دِينَارًا كُلَّ سَنَةٍ وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ضَرَبَ عَلَى نَصَارَى أَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثَمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ وَأَنْ يُضَيِّفُوا مَنْ مَرَّ بِهِمْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثَلَاثًا وَأَنْ لَا يَغُشُّوا مُسْلِمًا 18679 قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَنْبَأَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ فَضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَلَاثَمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ ثُمَّ صَالَحَ أَهْلَ نَجْرَانَ عَلَى حُلَلٍ يُؤَدُّونَهَا إِلَيْهِ فَدَلَّ صُلْحُهُ إِيَّاهُمْ عَلَى غَيْرِ الدَّنَانِيرِ عَلَى أَنَّهُ يَجُوزُ مَا صُولِحُوا عَلَيْهِ
