[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote me a letter, this is its copy. He mentioned in it that whoever remains on Judaism or Christianity, he will not be forced away from it. And he will have to pay the jizyah tax in any case, whether male or female, free or slave, with a dinar or the equivalent in property. This narration has unknown narrators and has not been confirmed by scholars as an authentic hadith. Whoever agrees with its words and the words before it, it is a narration from a discredited source. And whoever adds to it, caution should be exercised. And with Allah is success.  

البيهقي:١٨٦٧٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَهْلٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرَوَيْهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو يَزَنَ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُفَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُفَيْرِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ سَيْفِ بْنِ ذِي يَزَنَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حُبَيْشِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عُفَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عُفَيْرُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي زُرْعَةُ بْنُ سَيْفِ بْنِ ذِي يَزَنَ قَالَ

كَتَبَ إِلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كِتَابًا هَذَا نُسْخَتُهُ فَذَكَرَهَا وَفِيهَا وَمَنْ يَكُنْ عَلَى يَهُودِيَّتِهِ أَوْ عَلَى نَصْرَانِيَّتِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُفْتَنُ عَنْهَا وَعَلَيْهِ الْجِزْيَةُ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالِمٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ دِينَارٌ أَوْ قِيمَتُهُ مِنَ الْمَعَافِرِ وَهَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةُ فِي رُوَاتِهَا مَنْ يُجْهَلُ وَلَمْ يَثْبُتْ بِمِثْلِهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ حَدِيثٌ فَالَّذِي يُوَافِقُ مِنْ أَلْفَاظِهَا وَأَلْفَاظِ مَا قَبْلَهَا رِوَايَةَ مَسْرُوقٍ مَقُولٌ بِهِ وَالَّذِي يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهَا وَجَبَ التَّوَقُّفُ فِيهِ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ
