[Machine] "O people, ward off the prescribed punishments as much as you can. If you find any way to help Muslims and facilitate their matters, then do so. Indeed, it is better for the leader to make a mistake in showing forgiveness than to make a mistake in imposing punishment. This has been narrated from Umar ibn al-Khattab, Abdullah ibn Masood, and others. The most authentic narration on this issue is from Asim, who narrated from Abu Wa'il, who narrated from Abdullah ibn Masood, in his statement: 'And this has already been mentioned in the book of prescribed punishments.'"
