bayhaqi:18283Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > Aḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Jabbār > Yūnus > Ibn Isḥāq > Yaḥyá b. ʿAbbād from his father > Asmāʾ b. Abū Bakr

[Machine] The daughter of Abu Bakr, in the story of Abu Quhafa and his youngest daughter, was driving him on the day of the conquest. When she landed with him on the ground, the horses met her and there was a collar on her neck made of leaves. A man saw it hanging from her neck and cut it off. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, Abu Bakr stood until he brought his father and mentioned the story of his Islam. Then Abu Bakr stood up and took his sister's hand and said, "I adjure you by Allah and Islam, my sister's collar." By Allah, no one answered him. Then he said it a second time, and no one answered him. Then he said, "O my sister, estimate the value of your collar. By Allah, trust has become rare among people today. This indicates that they have not gained anything, and that it was opened peacefully. If it had been opened by force, there would not have been any booty with it, and Abu Bakr would not seek her collar."

[Machine] When it was the year of conquest, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled in Dhua Tuwa, Abu Quhafa said to his youngest daughter, who was his most precious child to me above Abu Qubays, that his sight had become weak, so I was taking care of him. He said, "O my daughter, what do you see?" She said, "I see a gathering of blackness, and I see a man running in front of that blackness." He said, "Those are the horses, O my daughter." Then he said, "What else do you see?" She said, "I see the blackness spreading." He said, "In that case, by Allah, the horses have been pushed back. So hurry with me to my house." So I quickly took him until we reached the bottom of the valley. There was a collar made of leaves around its neck, and a person cut it from its neck. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, Abu Bakr came out until he brought his father to him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said, "Why didn't you leave the old man in his house until I came to him?" He said, "He insists on coming to you, O Messenger of Allah. He walks towards you, and he has more right to do so than for you to walk towards him." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat him down in front of him, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped his chest and said, "Submit, you will be safe." So he embraced Islam, then Abu Bakr stood up and took his sister by the hand and said, "I swear by Allah, I bear witness, by Allah and Islam, to the collar of my sister. By Allah, no one has come with anything like it." Then he said a second time, "I swear by Allah, I bear witness, by Allah and Islam, to the collar of my sister. By Allah, no one has come with anything like it." Then he said, "O my sister, count your collar." By Allah, truly, trustworthiness among people is rare.
