[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking alcohol, and alcohol is a beverage made from barley that intoxicates.  

البيهقي:١٧٣٧٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ وَأَصْحَابِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجِعَةِ وَالْجِعَةُ شَرَابٌ يُصْنَعُ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ حَتَّى يُسْكِرَ
