[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The hand of the thief should be cut off for a quarter of a dinar or more." This is the wording of the hadith narrated by Ibn al-Sarh, and in another narration by Harmala it is stated that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "The hand of the thief should not be cut off except for a quarter of a dinar or more."  

البيهقي:١٧١٦١ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ ح وَأنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ قَالَا أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَعَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّ

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ السَّرْحِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ حَرْمَلَةَ قَالَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ إِلَّا فِي رُبِعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ وَحَرْمَلَةَ
