bayhaqi:16944 – Abū Ḥāmid Aḥmad b. ʿAlī al-Ḥāfiẓ > Zāhir b. Aḥmad > Abū Bakr b. Ziyād > Yūnus > Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus > Ibn Shihāb > ʿAbd al-Malik Yasʾal ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah b. Masʿūd Hal Tuḥṣin al-Amah al-Ḥur > Naʿam > ʿAbd al-Malik ʿAmman Tarwī Hadhā

[Machine] We encountered the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that. Imam Ahmad said that it was narrated to me by Muhammad ibn Yahya that he said, "I found Al-Awza'i following Yunus, so they are more deserving (of trust)." And it was narrated by Amr ibn Abi Salamah from Al-Awza'i.  

البيهقي:١٦٩٤٤ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ زَاهِرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا يُونُسُ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ يَسْأَلُ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ هَلْ تُحْصِنُ الْأَمَةُ الْحُرَّ؟ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَمَّنْ تَرْوِي هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ

أَدْرَكْنَا أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُونَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ بَلَغَنِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ قَدْ تَابَعَ يُونُسَ فَهُمَا إِذًا أَوْلَى وَرَوَاهُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ
