[Machine] Abu Hudhayfa witnessed the Battle of Badr and invited his father, Uthba, to join him in fighting against the Quraysh. However, the Prophet Muhammad prevented him from doing so. Muhammad ibn Amr, Abdur-Rahman ibn Abu Bakr Siddiq said that Abu Bakr Siddiq continued to adhere to the religion of his people, which was polytheism, until he witnessed the Battle of Badr alongside the polytheists. He also invited his father, Abu Bakr Siddiq, to fight him in single combat, but Abu Bakr Siddiq declined. It is mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad said to Abu Bakr Siddiq, "Enjoy yourself, then Abdur-Rahman embraced Islam during the Hudaybiyah truce."
