[Machine] Rabi'ah, and if he was from one of the two ears, then he has half of the mind. Yunus said it, Abu al-Zinad said it, Ibn Wahb said it, and I heard Muawiyah ibn Salih say that Alaa ibn al-Harith narrated that he heard Mak'hul say that in the loss of all hearing. Muawiyah also said it, I heard Yahya ibn Sa'id say it, and it was narrated to us in that by al-Sha'bi, Ibrahim, and others.  

البيهقي:١٦٢٢٧وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا بَحْرٌ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي السَّمْعِ إِذَا ذَهَبَ كُلُّهُ فِيهِ الدِّيَةُ قَالَ

رَبِيعَةُ وَإِذَا كَانَ مِنْ إِحْدَى الْأُذُنَيْنِ فَفِيهِ نِصْفُ الْعَقْلِ قَالَ وَقَالَ يُونُسُ قَالَهُ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ قَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ وَسَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ صَالِحٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَكْحُولًا يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ فِي ذَهَابِ السَّمْعِ كُلِّهِ قَالَ وَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ يَقُولُهُ وَرُوِّينَا فِي ذَلِكَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَغَيْرِهِمَا
