bayhaqi:14736Abū Naṣr ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿUmar b. Qatādah > Abū Manṣūr al-ʿAbbās b. al-Faḍl al-Naḍrawī > Aḥmad b. Najdah > Saʿīd b. Manṣūr > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū al-Zinād > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > Unzil Fī Sawdah

[Machine] "And similar to this (situation) is (the case of) a woman who fears disobedience or aversion from her husband" [Surah An-Nisa, verse 128]. This is because Sawdah, may Allah be pleased with her, was a woman who had aged, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ decided to separate from her. She felt sadness from this and she came to know about Aisha and her status with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So she gifted her day with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Aisha, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accepted that. Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated this from Abu Zinad in a connected chain, as mentioned previously in the first book of marriage."
