البيهقي:١٤٥٦٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ حِينَ قَدِمَ الشَّامَ فَصَنَعَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّصَارَى طَعَامًا فَقَالَ لِعُمَرَ إِنِّي أُحِبُّ

أَنْ تَجِيئَنِي وَتُكْرِمَنِي أَنْتَ وَأَصْحَابُكَ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ الشَّامِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ ؓ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ كَنَائِسَكُمْ مِنْ أَجْلِ الصُّوَرِ الَّتِي فِيهَا يَعْنِي التَّمَاثِيلَ
