[Machine] I proposed to Fatimah, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you have a dowry?" I replied, "I have my riding beast and my shield." He said, "Sell them for four hundred (dirhams)." Then he said, "Buy her plenty of perfume, for indeed she is a woman among women."

البيهقي:١٤٤٧١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْفَارِسِيُّ أنبأ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ فَارِسٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْكَاهِلِيُّ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ قَالَ لَمَّا

خَطَبْتُ فَاطِمَةَ ؓ بِنْتَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ مَهْرٍ؟ قُلْتُ مَعِي رَاحِلَتِي وَدِرْعِي قَالَ فَبِعْتُهُمَا بِأَرْبَعِمِائَةٍ وَقَالَ أَكْثِرُوا الطِّيبَ لِفَاطِمَةَ فَإِنَّهَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ

"عَنْ عَلىٍّ قَالَ: لَمَّا خَطَبْتُ فَاطِمَةَ قَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ مَهْرٍ؟ قُلْتُ: مَعِى رَاحِلَتِى وَدِرْعِى، قَالَ فَبِعْتُهُمَا بِأَرْبَعِمِائَةٍ وَقَالَ: أَكْثِرُوا الطِّيبَ لِفَاطِمَةَ فَإِنَّهَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ".
