[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said that Shia'ah (a group of people) are forbidden. Hanbal said that Abu Abdullah, meaning Ahmad bin Hanbal bin Lahiy'ah, said that Shia'ah means the boastful ones in sexual intercourse. Ibn Wahb also said that it refers to the skins of wild beasts."  

البيهقي:١٤٠٩٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي السَّمْحِ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ؓ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الشِّيَاعُ حَرَامٌ قَالَ حَنْبَلٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ يَقُولُ الشِّيَاعُ يَعْنِي الْمُفَاخَرَةُ بِالْجِمَاعِ قَالَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ السِّبَاعُ يُرِيدُ جُلُودَ السِّبَاعِ
