[Machine] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, if you were to descend into a valley where there were trees, some of which had been eaten from, and you found a tree that had not been eaten from, which one would you pasture?" He replied, "I would pasture the tree that has not been eaten from." She said, "That means that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not marry any virgin apart from me."  

البيهقي:١٣٤٧٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدَكٍ الرَّازِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّكَ نَزَلْتَ وَادِيًا فِيهِ شَجَرٌ قَدْ أُكِلَ مِنْهَا وَوَجَدْتَ شَجَرَةً لَمْ يُؤْكَلْ مِنْهَا فِي أَيِّهَا كُنْتَ تَرْعَى؟ قَالَ فِي الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي لَمْ يُؤْكَلْ مِنْهَا قَالَتْ فَأَنَا هِيَ تَعْنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْ بِكْرًا غَيْرَهَا  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ

I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Suppose you landed in a valley where there is a tree of which something has been eaten and then you found trees of which nothing has been eaten, of which tree would you let your camel graze?" He said, "(I will let my camel graze) of the one of which nothing has been eaten before." (The sub-narrator added: ʿAisha meant that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had not married a virgin besides herself .)
