[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ regarding timing, it is better for him to say what coincides with the well-known Sunnah. It has been narrated from Ibn Umar that he did not time his actions.

البيهقي:١٣٣٣ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ وَثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَاللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْبَلَوِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيَّ يُخْبِرُ أنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ بِفَتْحٍ مِنَ الشَّامِ وَعَلَيَّ خُفَّانِ لِي جُرْمُقَانِيَّانِ غَلِيظَانِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا عُمَرُ فَقَالَ كَمْ لَكَ مُنْذُ لَمْ تَنْزِعْهُمَا؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَبِسْتُهُمَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْيَوْمُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ ثَمَانٍ قَالَ أَصَبْتَ وَرَوَاهُ مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ وَقَالَ فِيهِ أَصَبْتَ السُّنَّةَ 1334 أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ نا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْبَلَوِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ مِثْلَهُ وَقَالَ أَصَبْتُ السُّنَّةَ وَقَدْ رُوِّينَا عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ التَّوْقِيتَ فَإِمَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ حِينَ جَاءَهُ التَّثَبُّتُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي التَّوْقِيتِ وَإِمَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَوْلُهُ الَّذِي يُوَافِقُ السُّنَّةَ الْمَشْهُورَةَ أَوْلَى وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُوَقِّتُ فِيهِ وَقْتًا
