[Machine] Ali used to treat his grandfather as a father, which was criticized by some people in Iraq. The authentic saying about Ali is that he used to equate between his grandfather and his brothers, and perhaps he considered him a father in another sense. Allah knows best.  

البيهقي:١٢٤٢٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ كَانَ يَجْعَلُ الْجَدَّ أَبًا فَأَنْكَرَ قَوْلَ عَطَاءٍ ذَلِكَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ الصَّحِيحُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُشْرِكُ بَيْنَ الْجَدِّ وَالْإِخْوَةِ وَلَعَلَّهُ جَعَلَهُ أَبًا فِي حُكْمٍ آخَرَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
