[Machine] Abdullah bin Mas'ood said, "There are four things that a person should focus on: their character, their actions, their sustenance, and their time of death. No one can excel over another in these areas. As for charity, it can be given or not given."  

البيهقي:١١٩٠٣أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَاعِدٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فُرِغَ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ وَالْخُلُقِ وَالرِّزْقِ وَالْأَجَلِ فَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَكْسَبَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ وَالصَّدَقَةُ جَائِزَةٌ قُبِضَتْ أَوْ لَمْ تُقْبَضْ
