[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever cuts down a lote tree, Allah will make him enter his head into the Fire." Abu Abdullah said, Abu Ali al-Hafiz wrote it down from the hadith of Mas'adah, but it has not been confirmed and it is a mistake. And indeed,  

البيهقي:١١٧٦٠ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الصِّلْحِيُّ بِفَمِ الصِّلْحِ ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ الْيَسَعِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَطَعَ سِدْرَةً صَوَّبَ اللهُ رَأْسَهُ فِي النَّارِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ هَكَذَا كَتَبْنَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَسْعَدَةَ وَلَمْ يُتَابَعْ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ خَطَأٌ وَإِنَّمَا  

رَوَاهُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَوْلُهُ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فَصَارَتْ رِوَايَةُ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ بِهَذَا مَعْلُولَةً وَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ رَوَاهُ عَلَى الْوَجْهَيْنِ
