[Machine] There is no companion with whom a limit is imposed on me, except the companion of alcohol. If he were to die, I would not visit him, because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not recommend it.  

البيهقي:١١٦٧٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ شَوْذَبٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ بِهَا ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْقَصَّارُ وَقَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

مَا مِنْ صَاحِبِ حَدٍّ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدٌّ فِي نَفْسِي عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا صَاحِبَ الْخَمْرِ لَوْ مَاتَ لَوَدَيْتُهُ؛ لِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَسُنَّهُ  

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَإِنَّمَا أَرَادَ لَمْ يَسُنَّ مَا وَرَاءَ الْأَرْبَعِينَ إِلَى الثَّمَانِينَ وَهُوَ مَا زَادُوا عَلَى حَدِّهِ عَلَى وَجْهِ التَّعْزِيرِ وَأَمَّا الْأَرْبَعُونَ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ وَأَطْرَافِ الثِّيَابِ فَهُوَ حَدٌّ ثَابِتٌ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
