[Machine] He heard Aisha saying that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas and Abd ibn Zam'ah had a dispute in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Sa'd said, "O Messenger of Allah, my brother Uthbah made me his heir." He replied, "When you reach Makkah, look for Ibn Amat Zam'ah and take hold of him, for he is my son." Abd ibn Zam'ah said, "O Messenger of Allah, my brother and the son of my father's maid was born on my father's bed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a clear resemblance to Uthbah in him, so he said, "He belongs to you, O Abd ibn Zam'ah; the child belongs to the bed. And conceal yourself from him, O Sawdah, the wording of Al-Humaidi's narration."  

البيهقي:١١٤٦٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ح وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ اخْتَصَمَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَخِي عُتْبَةَ أَوْصَانِي فَقَالَ إِذَا قَدِمْتَ مَكَّةَ فَانْظُرِ ابْنَ أَمَةِ زَمْعَةَ فَاقْبِضْهُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ ابْنِي وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخِي وَابْنُ أَمَةِ أَبِي وُلِدَ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَبِي فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَبَهًا بَيِّنًا بِعُتْبَةَ فَقَالَ هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدُ بْنَ زَمْعَةَ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَاحْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ يَا سَوْدَةُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْحُمَيْدِيِّ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ وَغَيْرِهِ كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَمُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَاهُ زَادَ مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَقَالَ هُوَ أَخُوكَ يَا عَبْدُ وَهَذِهِ زِيَادَةٌ مَحْفُوظَةٌ وَقَدْ رَوَاهَا أَيْضًا يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَيْلِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

A’ishah said “Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas and ‘Abd bin Zamah disputed amongst themselves about the (relationship of the) son of the slave girl of Zam’ah and brought the case to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. Sa’d said “My brother ‘Utbah enjoined me that when I came to Makkah I should see the son of the slave girl of Zam’ah and take his possession for that is his son”. ‘Abd bin Zam’ah said “He is my brother, the son of my father’s slave girl having been born on my father’s bed”. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ saw his clear resemblance to ‘Utbah. So he said “The child is attributed to the one on whose bed it is born and the fornicator is deprived of any right (lit. the fornicator will have the stone). Veil yourself from him, Saudah. Musaddad added in his version “he is your brother ‘Abd”.
