[Machine] Abdullah ibn Umar, when a man had gold or silver, would ask him which of the two he preferred when spending it. Would you prefer to spend it by giving it to people or by spending it by yourself? If that person accepted, Abdullah ibn Umar would not be upset by it.  

البيهقي:١١٣٥٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ لِلرَّجُلِ عَلَيْهِ الذَّهَبُ أَوِ الْوَرِقُ خَيَّرَهُ حِينَ يَقْضِيهِ أِيُّ الصِّنْفَيْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ؟ ثُمَّ يَقْضِيهِ بِصَرْفِ النَّاسِ أَوْ يَصْرِفُ فَيَقْضِيهِ فَإِذَا قَبِلَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ لَمْ يَرَ بِهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بَأْسًا
