[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about fresh dates. He said, "Does the freshness of dates decrease when they become dry?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Dry dates should not be sold as fresh, and this statement is a good and valid witness to what has been mentioned."  

البيهقي:١٠٥٦٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رُطَبٍ بِتَمْرٍ فَقَالَ أَيَنْقُصُ الرُّطَبُ إِذَا يَبِسَ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لَا يُبَاعُ رُطَبٌ بِيَابِسٍ وَهَذَا مُرْسَلٌ جَيِّدٌ شَاهِدٌ لِمَا تَقَدَّمَ
