[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , it was decreed that those who commit adultery and do not have a legal spouse should be banished for a year with the prescribed punishment imposed upon them.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَضَى فِيمَنْ زَنَى وَلَمْ يُحْصِنْ أَنْ يُنْفَى عَامًا مَعَ الْحَدِّ عَلَيْهِ

bukhari:6833 – Yaḥyá b. Bukayr > al-Layth > ʿUqayl > Ibn Shihāb > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah

Messenger of Allah ﷺ judged that the unmarried person who was guilty of illegal sexual intercourse be exiled for one year and receive the legal punishment (i.e., be flogged with one-hundred stripes) .  

البخاري:٦٨٣٣ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ
