[Machine] I asked, "What do you say about fasting while traveling?" He said, "You should observe fasting if I allow you." I said, "Yes." He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to shorten the prayers when he left this city and he would not fast until he returned to it."

قُلْتُ مَا تَقُولُ فِي الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ قَالَ تَأْخُذُ إِنْ حَدَّثْتُكَ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَصَرَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يَصُمْ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهَا
