[Machine] My friend came to me with a pale face and his color changed, so he said, "Come to me." I said, "Wasn't I sitting with you an hour ago?" He said, "Saeed told me to come to your friend." So I went to him and he said, "Did you not hear what Ibn Umar said?" I asked, "What did he say?" He said, "A man came to him and said, 'O Abu Abdur Rahman, is it permissible for me to swear by the Kaaba?' He replied, 'Why do you swear by the Kaaba? If you swear, swear by the Lord of the Kaaba. Indeed, when Umar used to swear, he would say 'No, and by my father' and swear by it one day in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not swear by your father nor by anyone other than Allah, for whoever swears by someone other than Allah has associated partners with Him.'"  

فَجَاءَ صَاحِبِي وَقَدِ اصْفَرَّ وَجْهُهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ لَوْنُهُ فَقَالَ قُمْ إِلَيَّ قُلْتُ أَلَمْ أَكُنْ جَالِسًا مَعَكَ السَّاعَةَ؟ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ قُمْ إِلَى صَاحِبِكَ قَالَ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ إِلَى مَا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ؟ قُلْتُ وَمَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَعَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَحْلِفَ بِالْكَعْبَةِ؟ قَالَ وَلِمَ تَحْلِفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ؟ إِذَا حَلَفْتَ بِالْكَعْبَةِ فَاحْلِفْ بِرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ فَإِنَّ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا حَلَفَ قَالَ كَلَّا وَأَبِي فَحَلَفَ بِهَا يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَحْلِفْ بِأَبِيكَ وَلَا بِغَيْرِ اللهِفَإِنَّهُ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِغَيْرِ اللهِ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ
