I saw ʿUthman bin ʿAffan ؓ buried in his clothes soaked with his blood. he was not washed.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَشَهِدْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ دُفِنَ فِي ثِيَابِهِ بِدِمَائِهِ وَلَمْ يُغَسَّلْ
