[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "If you are three people, let not two of you have a private conversation excluding the third."  

أحمد:٥٢٥٨حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

When there are three (persons), two should not converse secretly between themselves to the exclusion of the (third) one.

malik:56-14Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two must not converse secretly to the exclusion of another person."  

مالك:٥٦-١٤وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)   

أحمد:٦٢٦٤حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَيَنَّ اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا
