[Machine] Abdullah and Al-Ash'ath disagreed, so Abdullah said, "This [transaction] is worth ten," and Al-Ash'ath said, "This [transaction] is worth twenty." Abdullah said, "Let's appoint a man between us." Al-Ash'ath said, "You are [acting] as that man between us." Abdullah said, "I will decide based on what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ decided when the two parties in a transaction disagree and there is no clear evidence." He added, "The word of the seller would be the final decision, or they may revoke the sale."  

أحمد:٤٤٤٧قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَعْنٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ

اخْتَلَفَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَالْأَشْعَثُ فَقَالَ ذَا بِعَشَرَةٍ وَقَالَ ذَا بِعِشْرِينَ قَالَ اجْعَلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ رَجُلًا قَالَ أَنْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ نَفْسِكَ قَالَ أَقْضِي بِمَا قَضَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ الْبَيِّعَانِ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ بَيِّنَةٌ فَالْقَوْلُ قَوْلُ الْبَائِعِ أَوْ يَتَرَادَّانِ الْبَيْعَ
