ahmad:368ʿAbdullāh b. Yazīd > Kahmas > ʿAbdullāh b. Buraydah > Yaḥyá b. Yaʿmar > Ibn ʿUmar Qālaḥaddathanā ʿUmar

We were sitting around the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ˹the narrator˺ mentioned the ḥadith, except that he said, "There were no signs that he had travelled" and then ʿUmar said, "I ˹waited for˺ three nights then the Prophet ﷺ said to me, O ʿUmar."  

أحمد:٣٦٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ قَالَ

كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَلا يُرَى عَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ السَّفَرِ وَقَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ فَلَبِثْتُ ثَلاثًا فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا عُمَرُ
